Corinne Heiliger

Corinne is a licensed therapist, trained pastoral counselor, certified clinical trauma professional and Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care™ provider. She has received training and certification in Grief (PESI) and Perinatal Death (Gundersen). She is the mother of 3 living children and a bereaved mother of a full-term stillborn daughter. She is passionate about ending preventable stillbirth and providing quality, compassionate trauma and bereavement care for those who experience pregnancy and infant loss.

Corinne works in private practice as a therapist, specializing in trauma, grief, and perinatal bereavement with adults and teens and groups.

Amy Simms

Amy is a licensed social worker and certified international missions leader, specializing in adoption, family care and cross-cultural partnerships. She has also received training and certification in Grief (PESI) and Perinatal Death (Gundersen). She is a mother to three children, each with their own unique adoption stories. Amy is passionate about providing hope, care and connection to mothers, children, and families who have experienced trauma and loss.

Amy works as the domestic adoption social worker for an agency in Maryland.

Amy, Corinne and their families have known each other for over a decade. As our careers, life experiences and passions have aligned, Ampersand International was birthed out of their personal loss journeys and empathic draw to help the hurting, especially around perinatal losses. Both Amy & Corinne work in helping professions daily and both have traveled for many years in the developing world. These passions have been combined these to create Ampersand International in hopes of helping fill the gap of perinatal bereavement care in the areas most impacted around the globe.
